I'm not policing anything; I could sprinkle these boards with my opinions of the impeachment trial, but that wouldn't be right. I also could post some feelings on the end of the basketball strike, the crisis in Iraq, and so on. I've seen many boards degenerate into forums on topics way beyond stocks. If you don't cry foul at the starting point, the thread stops being interesting to most people, or worth their time to wade through the trivia. It's like fast-forwarding through the commercials on a taped TV program; many don't like to be annoyed with them. The weekends are when I try to spend more time analyzing stocks. I think others do the same. To post off topic sports stuff or political opinions is just inconsiderate of others time. There are football and politics boards where people WANT to read this stuff--why post it here?
