Thanks to roktar on the Fool thread for his reply today to my post yesterday. We certainly need balancing perspectives so that people get different viewpoints and can respond to both. His skepticism earlier has certainly been proven correct, and I wish I had heeded his advice then. However the situation from an investment perspective is much different when the price was sitting below cash value before Friday's move, than when it was in the $20s. Let me ask him a question back. What level of earnings and prospects would be required to support a price in the low teens (say $13-$14) , taking into account the negative street image they have now, and how long does he think it will be before they reach that point? In other words how long it will take before an investment last Thursday would double and stay at or above those levels? As I said before, either you believe they have a positive future or you don't. Looking from the technology side I think they certainly do - if they can execute (which roktar has strong doubts on). Roktar says that outside of the MRV subsidiary the company is in bad shape. Let's hear what others have to say regarding both posts and the points raised in each. The link to roktar's post: boards.fool.com
