Harry, you said a lot in that post. A general question on purchasing cycles.. don't they tend to peak out in earnings about now. Looking over the last few years there's ususally good strength on contracts and rumor activity then things tend to go flat to down until the late spring/summer revival. Net net.. selling on good news and confirmed rumor by the insiders forming short term tops. I'm looking to sell these tops as earnings hit unless conference calls explicitly say there's an unusual acceleration of orders.

Hi Harry;

>>>From your comments, I take it that MOT is going to have a good quarter. Is that broadly based across most divisions? Paging is still weak if GEMS if any indication. I read an article about the weak brand name wins of MOT in the handset market. I have no feel for their sales to the auto-sector. Wireless base station wins must still be a problem because of their use of third party switches.

My enthusiasm last month and expectation of 34c/shr. was because of savings due to more-than-expected cost-cutting effort by the company. I think MOT did a press release last week saying the same thing.

But, what MOT has going for itself is a new customer-driven image.....and it is not just an act. It is true and has been initiated from the top.

>>>Any feel for the rumor of MOT taking over ALA? It doesn't sound reasonable....

It is absurd. If this rumor is out there it is because of ALA ties to DIGI. It won't happen.
