To delete temp internet files and the history folder with Internet Explorer. I created a short cut on the desktop.
Click "My Computer"
Click "Control Panel"
RIGHT click "Internet"
select "create shortcut"
send to desktop
Rename this icon to Delete history and temp files or something else to stop any confusion with your internet connection.
I will delete the cookie file once a week (some people DON'T delete cookies period!)Remember cookies will also be in your History and temp internet files too.
This thread has saved me many hours of frustration.
Thanks to all,
Doug

Yes 128 mb RAM.

Upgrading is what bothers me. I have heard upgrading
to Windows 98 wasn't worth it. But I have never used
Win. 98 so I can't make a judgement.

I'm taking notes. Norton's utilities 3.0 sounds like
a good idea! Thanks!
I think I'm spending more on computers and software a year
then I spend on my car. <g>

I was talking computers this am with a cousin and she just
bought a 300MHz 6 gb computer from Office Max (I think)
for $499! Without monitor. (And I wondered what else.)
That seemed like a very good deal.

Thanks to those who are here that can answer the questions!
This thread alone is worth the cost of SI!
