Tom, saw a cartoon in the paper today that sums up the state of the market today. Iam not sure if it was a national cartoon or what. It showed a family sitting at the dinner table. It was Mom and Dad and their 8 year old son it would appear. The parents looked in AWE at the child with there mouth open after apparently one of the parents asked him what he did with his 25.00 gift certificate he got at Christmas. The child looked at them with a grin on his face and said he turned the $ 25.00 into $68,000 since Christmas by buying internet stocks with his Christmas computer. I thought it was a great insight in what is happening today. The parents did not have a clue about the power of the internet. The child knew it was exciting and invested everything he had at Christmas in it..because he didn't understand risk!!! But risk was never a factor because he was justly rewarded. There may be more to this moral of a story!! I may not have read it right, but thought it was timely. Oh, Tom..got a extra gift certificate to spare??
