RE: Watch as AMZN folds entirely. They do not have a clue

Didn't Amazon hire some WalMart experts? Don't you think they have clues?

Glenn,
"""The only short I chose was AMZN"""

Friday's pullback was a good time to cover, Monday will see a new 52W high.

<< ....I have been long the networkers and many other players. The only short I chose was AMZN. I did not short even other e-tailers.

Watch as AMZN folds entirely. They do not have a clue. >>

With AMZN opening up its third site in Nevada, the debate over whether AMZN is merely in e-tailing but rather in supply chain management is a closed issue. Glenn, I am at a loss to understand that a investor like yourself that has already realized the potential of the Internet via "the networkers and many other players", feel that "AMZN folds entirely"

In the BUSINESS section of the SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER today there is a column by James Cramer

"....In the dark days of October — the Depression, as a friend of my mine calls it — I visited Philadelphia as a part of the Squawk Box team.

After the show, an older man stood behind the stage. When I talk markets with people, I never want to talk about what I am thinking. Therefore, I asked him what he was buying and what he was holding during that difficult market.

He said, "I won't sell my Yahoo — that could be the next blue-chip, the next Microsoft."

I remember telling him that I had not thought about it like that. I said I thought of Yahoo as a highflier. I meant it pejoratively. He looked me in the eye and said that's what everybody had told him about Microsoft. He missed it, but he wasn't going to miss the next one.

I warned him to be careful out there, but I told him the truth, which is if someone took away my Yahoo, there would be all heck to pay.

That was a couple of hundred points ago. I guess he guy knew what he was doing. I wish I hadn't been so Wall Street. I wish I had been more Main Street. Main Street knows what it's doing — big time. "

My point is this article mentions YHOO. I would extend it to AMZN also as people consider it a part of the top tier Internet stocks along with AOL, YHOO, CSCO, ATHM etc.

You can read more of James Cramer's article in the Examiner at examiner.com.
