It's not if, but when.

You are entitled to your opinion. My opinion is that you are going to get crushed. You are shorting the most undervalued of the group by any measure. You are also making the mistake that Onsale is just auctions. Plus you are short with news coming about ONSL's Christmas sales being much higher than last year, the industrial site, and ONSL Japan. This thing could (and will) explode at any time for any number of reasons. A lot of wise (now broke) guys have been screaming the net stocks will crash for a long time now. We are in the third year of a thirty year internet economy and you think you have pinpointed the burst of a bubble. Gotta be a better way to make a living. This stock will see 75 again, soon, and 100.

JMHO,
Robbie

Oh yeah, Yahoo reports Tues. also. If they beat the numbers you will have another reason to get crushed.

Yep, Sz, but the simple fact is that ONSL is undervalued RELATIVE to eBay and the others. I too fought the il-logicalness of these I-net valuations as well, and was tempted to short them, but then I decided to join, not fight, the momentum. The trend is your friend.

You can make a pretty good case in a logical market for the I-nets going down, but this is not a logical market and the fact remains that Money Managers ARE looking for quality stocks in this area. I just wouldn't short here, at least for long.

Plus some of the steam came out of the I-net stocks at the very end of the day Friday. They may just keep going up this week. And I'd be careful with ONSL...if a short squeeze occurs, you are looking at 85 -115 bucks by Wednesday, particularly if Yahoo earnings beat the whisper number.
