Star, no matter what e-trade tells you, your order time after the close and before the open is executed with respect to those buying or selling on the open. A mm matches orders on a first come first serve basis BUT the assignments are effectively matched by the time etrade sends those orders, not your time of entry. Piece of advice, don't listen to e-trade and fight for any execution you feel has been improperly filled. sz
