Likely Accceptance of Win 2000 (reply to Spots)

I agree with your remarks. A few added thoughts:

-Everyone--vendors, end users, MS, OEMs, etc.--has a huge incentive to see Win 2000 suceed, as its archetecture will be the whole Windows show here on out.

-Current plans, as I understand them, call for a home-user version of Win 2000 to come out a while after the main rollout. This will give MS more time to get the usability details right, as well as bugfix the plumbing. This was a smart decision IMHO.

Barring a very unlikely huge paradigm shift to an entirely different platform, I think Win 2000 is likely to suceed brilliantly.
