X, it may not be mindless, but it sure isn't new or profound!

I do agree with you though, conversation and dialogue in the real world (your example of Unitarian Church) is probably just as bad or worse. It seems there are few innovative or forward thinking people left in the world. Sorry for my pessimism, but I see little hope that the Information Age will generate or create such individuals.

We have all become clones of one another, rehashing the same old tired arguments!

X,
Or Bob's! I have told you the real truth about God and Christianity. Going to a cult church like you did won't get you any closer to the truth. You would be uncomfortable at a fundamentalist christian church also. But God would have a chance to reach out to you in a real way. The problem in general is to find people who really know God and have some sense. There are too many whacky churches, I must confess. Like the one that has the godhatesfags web site. It's unbelievable. I would want to go to a christian church that was mature and nonpolitical. After all, regardless of Christine's assertions, Jesus was nonpolitical. He is forward looking, not at all concerned with trying to fix a doomed system here. My mothers funeral was at a Catholic Church as she was Catholic. There was something comforting and familiar there, maybe just a childhood throw back. I wish you success in your search for the truth.

Bob
