That would be a definition of a collective or common good.

All such human constructs as individual, collective, good and evil are artificial in the sense that they describe reality and are not themselves the reality they describe.

Yes, that is a danger. As is the denial that there is such a thing as the common good.

The United States was founded on both the good of the Union and the rights of the individual. That is why they call it "the United States.

At least that's the way I see it.
