Jeffrey -- Which way now? I have been vocal for a few days about the downside here. I have twice before lost money with puts on AMZN and make no claim to 'know' the future'. I have kept quiet before because I have not had any reason to think I was making more than a shot in the dark about a top -- you know, twice before I thought hmmm, looks toppy. Why now?

AMZN now poses a threat to the overall market. It is no longer a sideshow at the carnival. It's market cap and stock price action have put AMZN at center stage. If AMZN is 'allowed' to continue, the inevitable crash risks sucking the market down with it. This cannot be allowed to happen -- too much at stake where the overall market is open to a big emotional reaction which could pitch the economy into recession if the whole tech sector went down with it.

The solution? Take a high flier like AMZN and blow it out of the air NOW while earnings are being released and it is easier to say there will be 'winners and losers' or, its a stock pickers market, etc. This leaves the DELLS and all to carry on without being sucked down when the nets crash.

What I don't like is the prospect of people having their life savings sucked out of their and their families bank accounts at this point. For myself? I am prepared to lose 100 percent of what I play on this stock. If you are not, you are playing with the wrong stock.
