Yes, I'm arguing lack of possession. I'm not saying the ref should care about a player's actions, but you should for the purpose of his debate. Kirby didn't think he was down, the ref with a good view didn't think he was down, most who saw the replay didn't think he was down . . . yet, it was so "obvious" that they had to overturn it?

That would have been the right call if an official blew the whistle, because right or wrong, when the whistle blows, the play is over. The announcers said the whistle did not blow which means play is not over,....fumble....Atlanta touchdown.

But as Joe Theismann says its only an issue because of the gambling.
