As I told Frank, you can educate unless you communitcate. You say it is ridiculous when I stated that my understanding is that the MSO's are responsible for maintaining and upgrading the local network. You could be a tad clearer. Why? In all my questions I am trying to clarify the simple concept of what is within ATHM's control to direct their own future and what is not. You are right that I do not fully understand the relationship between ATHM and the MSO's, thats why I'm posing the questions and stating my best understanding, so that I can be corrected. Similarly I do not yet fully understand the purpose of ATHM's national network as I seem to be getting conflicting feedback from the thread experts. ATHM may be a joint venture of the MSO's but it seems very unlikely to me that it can hold together without at least a few leaks considering how desperate everyone is to get at those wires. Eric
