"I was at my dentist's not long ago"

I was at mine about 2 months ago, she always asked me how my Intel is?
She informed me she subscribes to a news letter that said Intel was one of the stocks to NOT own in '99.

John, Re: "I actually enjoyed going from the 'all night chaos' of fixing operating system
problems to trading from home!!"

Not too hard to believe that. I once heard a field or systems engineer's job described as like that of an airline pilot: it can be days or months of utter boredom interrupted by minutes of sheer terror.

John,

Thanks to you and others for a response to my early retirement questions. As more of us begin to consider an end to the 9 to 5 routine, experiences from others that have already taken the plunge are valuable. Maybe fodder for another thread?

RE: Can this be other than a classic signal of a market top?? <ggg>

I don't think that's far from the truth. The market has me worried at the moment. The Internet stock bubble is ready to pop. It's too bad that when it does, it will drag down good co's like Intel. Maybe time to take some money off the table?
