No I blame the natural urge in humans to fasten their identities on a group- and create figures like Jesus, which have much good in them, but also pander to the more destructive tribalistic urges. Jesus is a tribal totem- he is better than some and worse than others. If you followed him you would not be on SI- you would have given away your worldly possessions and you would be ministering to lepers and those truly in need. So don't talk to me about Jesus when you clearly have coins in your pocket.

Bob:

<<I blame the tendency within humans to persecute, to exclude, to fear what is alien.>>

You mean you blame the sin nature that is in everyone and that Jesus came to free us from. -- Bob

NO BOB! Do not rewrite what X has said. She is correct; it is you who are in error. You blindly follow an irrational, dogmatic theology which has been a major cause of pain and suffering to millions throughout the centuries.

There is no original sin, Bob. The creation myth in Genesis was lifted almost intact from the ancient Sumerian creation myth and the Hebrews adopted it as their own.
