Edderd,

I have not attacked LW's character. I have attacked his managerial skills as CEO of Vivus. Do you remember how he predicted that MUSE sales would be helped by riding on the coat tails of Viagra? That was almost a year ago!

I do not know LW. Never met him and never talked with him. As al said, he very well may be a good family man and a wonderful person but this is not the issue. The issue is whether or not he has provided this publicly owned company with good leadership.

As I said before I do not trust his ability to effectively lead this company. This does not mean that he is a devious person who can not be trusted as I think you read the statement. It means that I don't think I can trust him to effectively lead the company based on his past track record.

Edderd,

Don't fool yourself. The Street knows all about Vivus and LW. Why do you think that the extremely Pro Pfizer people at CNBC, Barons, Motley Fool, and theStreet.com have only been able to speak of Vivus in a negative light for the past 14 months?

There has been a lot of big money shorting the stock and manipulating the price so as to get as many share holders as possible to throw in the towel. It is quite obvious to me that there has been an agenda to "get even" with LW ever since the announcement on December 10, 1997. Call me crazy but one rarely sees such a coordinated act of revenge on a stock. Ask Bradpalm if you don't believe me.

Edderd...News from the other side of the big pond.

news.bbc.co.uk

My take Viagra will continue to be restricted in the UK for a long time and if/when the NHS decides to cover Viagra it will be rationed for the more severe cases.

In the mean time patients can cover the Viagra expense out of their own pockets or thru private insurance policies.

Muse is covered by the NHS since it is in fact used for the more severe cases and for patients that can not take Viagra.

I expect this to be the norm in Germany and other countries that see the cost of Viagra as a burden on their tax system.
