Ritz , re. Intel's "new" technology
Wow , they released SIMD in PIII . Six months after AMD .
That doesn't sound so good coming from the "technology leader", the company that has a market cap of a quarter of a trillion dollars and a book value of $25B .
Their Market capln is larger than many of the world's countries.

Ritz,

Re: "A spokesman for AMD (Sunnyvale, Calif.) said that date didn't sound
right, and would check on it."

The K7 on .25um ?? ... I mean, who wants a K7 that runs at 400mhz. <ggg>
Looks like AMD will have to wait until they move from their RevB FET (tm Yousef)
.25um process to their .18um process later in '99. By mid-'99, Intel will
be shipping their CPU's on a true .18um process ... Again, Intel is ahead
of AMD in IC process technology (tm Yousef).

Make It So,
Yousef
