Just a short note to let you all know that we have been receiving very positive feedback regarding the recent posts on this thread - particularly the discussions by traders for traders on the realities of the task. Reaching a #2 position of the SI Hotlist is a credit to all that made the time to post and the quality of the responses. Well done all! I feel that there are a number of people on other threads who may way to read and benefit from this information - you might want to go to some of the other threads and create a simple link to this one going back to the start of that online trading discussion.

Training is an integral part of the process. Learning from experience is invaluable. Reading about other people's experiences is so helpful - most traders have the same questions and face the same issues each day. One of our responses to this is forming the Interactive Training Center - an FREE online Training facility full of sources and resources for traders - including a FREE interactive CD, online training courses, training schools around the country, online tutorials, CyBerNews, a FREE e-zine for online traders, CyBerChat, a FREE chatroom for CyBerTraders which is particularly helpful for new CyBerTraders.

CyBerTrader itself includes a FREE simulator - which allows trainees to be "live" with the market in real time and forward orders to a "random number generator" rather than a real counterparty. A useful training tool to becomne familar with the functions and features of CyberTrader yet the results should not create the basis for expectation when you go "live" with orders. It is what it is - a training tools so that you can become familar with the software

CyBerCorp is not in the Training business per se - we simply try to make the sources and resouces available to traders available in order that they can choose which third party services might help them most. And the recent discussions on this thread equally and further help traders. You can find out more within the Training section of the CyBerCorp and CyBerBroker websites

Steve,

I use CyBerTrader and I like the software, the company, and the people a lot. Unfortunately, with the market the way it has been lately, I'm having a lot of trouble, especially getting in and out of fast-moving issues. A lot of trouble.

Which system you need depends on what type of trading or daytrading you're contemplating doing. I'm not doing so good right now, so I am probably not the best one to ask. Frankly, I have very mixed feelings about daytrading in general.

A really fast computer with as much screen as you can get is a necessity, of course. And a good broker and good software with a fast, reliable internet/network connection. But there seems to be something more that one needs, and I am not exactly sure what that is. Luck, maybe? Instinct? Something.

Actually, I believe the most important thing might very well be training and lots of experience. Yes, I think that's it. And I don't believe I have enough of either at this time.

Good luck!
Bill
