Chief - If their supplier is unreliable then it is their responsibility to find a new one that is reliable. We pay a lot of money every month and expect it never to be down. END of conversation.

Who bears the responsibility when You walk in to a CDN tire store and they are out of a flyer item because the supplier did not ship it to the store??????? You do not blame the supplier except in rare cases. In that case it is CTC's responsibility to ensure that the suppliers they select can deliver in a timely fashion.

What happened to Canada Stockwatch today.

First off I'd like to offer our apologies for today's interruption of service. Secondly it was our fault.

We had a hardware fault affecting 3 of our servers this morning. We switched back to our older servers, but at the same time our ticker process ran across a bad time stamp in a feed file. Unfortunately, it did not ignore the incorrect time, it assumed that it was caught up in time and refused to move past the offending time, until that time was located and manually removed from our feed file.

That is why it took longer to come back on line than expected.

Our feed suppliers were not at fault. We will be making software improvements that will prevent future this problem from recurring.
