I'd heard CPQ had direct sales problems.... On 12/31, I ordered and paid for a Presario 1200, fully loaded and I got the $150 shareholders discount. It was supposed to arrive in Dallas (from Houston) by 1/9. I finally gave up and called them. "Oh, we don't make that model any longer," said the order taker. "Too many of that model were sold and production has stopped. The next in line is our 1800 model. It's only $800 more." I asked if they were going to call me. "Oh, yes, we would have called you eventually but we're just too busy." Such a deal! I told them I'd try DELL. They said, "be my guest."
