Chaz actually I think Ford and Nixon had good marriages. Nixon really had a hard time after Pat died. Niether made a campaign issue out of it, fortunately, thus enabling Mr. dysfunctional family Reagan to get elected. (who remains a hero to the right)

<<Bob Barr, you mean? Or Henry Hyde? Perhaps you meant Gingritch? Or was it Livingston? Or Reagan? >>

And your point is what? As long as you can find an example of behavior you find objectionable your leaders should be held to standards beneath that. Or is it that they have no business trying to raise the standards for the citizenry at large.

If you have sons and daughters then, you must be encouraging them to behave at least worse than your most regretful moments.

Is that not your point? Are you the committee for the advancement of low standards.

So, he's using the standard speeding ticket defense. "Everyone else was speeding" It seems to apply to everything he does. Bomb Sudanese factory. Transfer missile technology to Chinese. Sell trade mission seats. Jip the Indians out of casino license and "campaign contribution". Take money from illegal foreign sources. Launder campaign funds from Teamsters. The list goes on and on.
