Hi Sueponine! Ill bet dclk goes to 140 in the short term. When to get out, that is the question, since we all know all these stocks are so overvalued.

I am just re-reading SSB research from 9/24/99 about CMGI's purchase of Adforce and how that may/will impact DCLK's business with Alta Vista. Old news, but I haven't seen much discussion of these points here. Seems like the recent rumor about DCLK acquiring 24/7 could be very good for us considering the possibility exists that after the Alta Vista contract expires, much or all of that work could be lost (worst case scenario).
Points include:

+Confusion and anxiety surrounding DoubleClick's relationship with Alta Vista has been heightened by CMGI's recent march on the online ad solutions market.
+We recommend taking advantage of the dips to buy DCLK.
+CMGI's buy of Adforce may increase the likelihood that Alta Vista will swap out of DCLK's DART technology after the current 3-year contract expires, but we believe this possibility is well understood and probably well-discounted.
+CMGI's orchestration of Engage's acquisition of AdKnowledge does not directly impact the DCLK/Alta Vista situation, in our opinion even if it may help AdKnowledge and Engage.
+Price target is $165.
Again, old news from 9/24. FWIW.
Later.
Sueponine. (I had to go back over 2,000 posts to find my initial post on this thread...seems like ages; still holding my original DCLK shares.)
