I think you are right on this execution problem

but;
yesterday I did a few trades on these
NSOL YHOO KTEL NITE NAVR DBCC

out of a dozen or so trades on those had one fill that was delayed maybe 2 minutes or so
the rest went off fine

all orders were limit orders

but

I did miss a few buys, that would have turned out well
because my limit did not fill. whereas a market would have, at some price

and

for my limits both the buy and sell limits were placed above/below the posted bid/ask in order to ensure a fill
but missing 1/2 or so on a YHOO that moved 5-10 points in a few minutes was not a big deal

trading this stuff is a different world, and has vastly different rules
and is not for 99% of people to be doing
