My son is a Doors, .....you sent me "Ramble On" attached to this didn't you? ehhhhh. It was the link, I did not expect it. I walked out of the room for a second and I composed what to say and as I was typing I was typing to Ramble On... This is real different. Well anyway.....thanks for the link but the kid....well, the kid likes Clapton, likes Zep and ELP and the Dead and Irish Rebel and Traffic and so on....Doors, as well. When he was small, you see, we had more children and I took him to Irish stuff and Rock stuff, just to keep him occupied so my wife could deal with the "new" person in the family. I suppose the music stuck. Here's something, his room was blaring "Just take a pebble," and I figured he was listening to ELP but when I opened the door my wife was the only one in the room. I imagine I am still locked into those days when we thought honesty was the most important thing....it was a time of trial because of issues like Nam and it was a time of honesty because we felt the times were changing and the way to deal with these changes was to challenge Authority. Well, times have changed once again. I'm in the unfortunate position of having some control, and as a result of having responsibility I cannot condone the arrogant actions of a person like Park. They can suspend me from SI, but I have to do what is correct. Joe Park is not a person who commands respect. He lives only for his own profit. So I shall tell you now, if you listen to Joe Park you will not learn anything, you most likely will not make any money, and you most likely will spend money because all Joe Park cares about is Joe Park. So my point is, I will never get a substantive reply from a Joe Park fan....certainly never from Park...about anything he has ever said that people learn anything from, unless of course it's to tell me that they should not have ever listened to him. SI is supposed to be an exchange of ideas....a place where people learn from one another. If one debates this, it certainly a person that I cannot learn from. I don't need that, I need an exchange of ideas that helps me make my own decisions. Intelligent people have that problem.....they try to learn things. Joe Park is not in that business.
