I just looked at some numbers for our trade balance with various countries. Boyoboy are we in a world of hurt. Only thing left to do is drop the dollar to a nickel if China decides it doesn't need us anymore. Just who is going to buy all these computers and telecom equipment? and drugs? It sure isn't our trading partners.

As for the much higher PPI, take out cigarette prices and the core PPI actually fell .1%. So unless you are a smoker, inflation is nowhere in sight.
