Dear james: I admit, I have no Money Center Bank experience (although I have served on Boards of smaller Banks and years ago audited many local banks), but if what you say is true, I think that STINKS. This is supposed to be a Capitalistic Country and you make decisions based upon profit opportunities. Banks are supposedly regulated somewhat for the protection of the savers etc. I guess the Fed'l insurance protects them but the investors (they get hung out to dry). Glad I dont own any bank shares.
