Wow. This Poyner guy sounds like a moron:

"We continue to view the color issue as potentially a bigger hassle than an aid to selling incrementally more iMacs," said Poyner, who rates the stock as "underperform."

Get a grip, dude. This stock is going to crush him like a grape.

I somehow missed any positive comments they made. Whenever I heard any mention of APPLE this morning on CNBC it was always about the downgrade(about 3 times) and never coupled with the information that there had also been an upgrade.

The reason for the downgrade seems pretty lame. They have 2 days inventory in house, and who knows....maybe 11 days in the store channel.....maybe less....it just doesn't wash. The Comp USA I went to was almost sold out.

Could someone have shorted the stock after they put out the buy rating earlier? Maybe seeing the fools rush in to buy, and then releasing a downgrade to get the drop they needed to cover the short......just a thought. Things like that don't happen do they????

Funny thing I don't own the stock right now.....but I follow it closely and use the iMAC which is great. It just get's me crazy when I see such lame downgrades, or upgrades...like the one for Kodak the other day.....sheesh! And then you hear such unbalanced reporting.

MeDroggies, I would LOVE to see Kernan hugging a BLUEBERRY iMac on CNBC!
<... CNBC talked about the downgrade, then followed up with an upbeat discussion of the upgrade. You must have missed it.
They really like AAPL. Kernan was practically hugging it, the way he discussed it.>
