Hey Glenn, want to place a bet on whether or not Amazon announces a secondary offering along with their quarterly loss report on the 22nd?

If they don't get some cash while their stock is still >0, they'll literally be bankrupt in less than 12 months at their current cash burn rate.

Now _that_ would be funny. A perfect repeat of Boston Chicken. Bezos already has his 32 million, more than enough for anyone to spend in a lifetime, so I doubt he gives a rat's ass if Amazon shuts its doors tomorrow.

The question is, how can the "offshore" investors get into the country to collect their 5 billion dollar warehouses when Amazon inevitably defaults on their junk bonds? I would suspect that most of them do not want to have to face customs agents. <vbg> !

>>Where there exists actual sale of merchadise, anything can happen (look at the AAPL turnaround<<
Good point. The only counter point I have is, I think @ one time AAPL actually made profits, before they went down hill.
In the new info age the institutions are giving Bezos until 2003.If this market heads south. Do you think they'll change their minds?
