Actually Borzou did a good thing by posting the affidavit. I read it and Barr didn't urge his ex wife to get an abortion as has been stated. Instead it was her decision because of health concerns. I don't know of anybody who is against abortion where the mother's health is at risk, pro choice or not.

Actually, I just posted it because it was a legal document that I thought might be more helpful to people in deciding assessing Barr than salacious news reports. If you read it, it presents a pretty nuanced, though one-sided, view of the man and his relationship to his second wife.

Jerry Falwell didn't put up $1 million to dig up dirt on Democrats. But Richard Mellon Scaife and other righwing crackpots have put up equally high if not higher bounties on Clinton's head. At least Larry Flynt is up front and open about what he's doing, instead of clandestinely funding some obscure "think" tank.

Regards,
Borzou

Can you imagine if Jerry Falwell had offered millions of dollars to dig up dirt on Democrats what the response in the media would be like?

You don't get it. Even if Falwell did it and some dirt was dug up about the Democrats, it is not exciting news to the people because it is the Republicans that hold themselves up as shining examples of morality, not the Democrats.

Talk about dragging the country down a ses-pool!

The REAL problem for you guys is that as the country proceeds along the cesspool, we are seeing more and more GOP hypocrites standing in the rancid water with their pants down! <G>
