Rod, hi.
You do not need a separate account to trade options, just approval.
If an option or market conditions mean RAES is not in operation your order will still hit the exchange in less than a second through Watley. It is then up to the floor broker to transact and report. This, unfortunately is out of our hands but at least there is more than a good chance your order will get there before the other guy!
