Paul, I do not know the specifics on this issue. From a pure thermodynamic point of view, cobalt based system should be superior in this respect, but there are obviously some other factors coming into play. I do not know the details, it would depend a lot on the specific combination of the anode and the electrolyte. I would not be surprised if the nature of the electrolyte had more to do with high temperature charge retention then the electrodes. VLNC has some pretty smart ways of making the electrolyte bearing polymer.
