Now if China will devalue their currency the market could really go bonkers. It's apparently of little consequence either way.

The good news is that the Real floated and didn't plummet like Indonesia or somehwere. Now interest rates can come down the government can stop spending foreign currency defending the Real and they have a chance of cutting the budget deficit without causing a depression.

We'll see whether this can last.

Lower interest rates of course should push the stockmarket up.
