When Gold moves higher CRB index would move first, so for me I will concentrate on commodity prices in general. As far as manipulation goes I don't give much of weight to this rumor for simple reason falling commodity prices is one hell of a worry for Fed, like market liqudity through three interest rate cuts has been increased to stave pressure of liquidity crunch. In all liklihood a stable move up to 350$ in gold would help the crisis hit Russia and commodity rich Brazil. If I was AG. that would be one last icing, I would like to be on my cake although one I would not like be the sky rocketing valuations of DOT..ggg

Prices of gold and commodities are more often than not inter- related and when we see a move in commodities Brazil will be at 10,000 in 10 sessions and Russia back to 600 plus..As deflation scenario would recede in background money flows to emerging markets will resume and my trade would be to buy capital goods like CAT GE.. For every move you may indicate I have a manifestation of that in long term on stock market. This is how I rationalise my strategies this is how the magic works on this thread, no complicated huge models just conventional wisdom..

Sorry Cosmos if I drifted a bit from Gold to Russia's GKN I amy buy and than to CAT and Foster wheeler is too much of meandering, but seeing marekts, living in them, I just like to meander a bit like the great 'River Indus' flowing from the 'Himalayas' from an aerial look some time it gives an impression that it is caught in 'mesh' but once it comes out in the plains the vigour and speed makes for all that wastage of meandering spiral flow .. Love and best regards to near and dear one..
