Right...a backup and DI of NT on the 98 drive plus a backup and
DI of 98 on the NT drive.

Yes but my post did not address that exactly. Ideally one should be able to restore the utility drive from the NT drive with all restore options resident on the first drive. My post has the utility (Win98) drive backed up on a second (accessable from NT) partition on the Win98 drive.

Somehow, somewhere I think the utility drive should be backed up. A few more rounds with Spots first<g>

Your building a new box too? Wow I have missed alot. Thats great:-) Dave (awhile back),Spots, Sean and now ZP. This thread is smokin.....

Dave scared me when he indicated the Celeron 300A opportunity may be slipping away. I don't want to miss out on the fun..uh..aggrevation. I have not opened the box yet but I should have purchased a tested board..too many failures.

Where would i look for boot target ID? Should I select a SCSI boot from BIOS and see what happens without any SCSI devices?

Selecting SCSI in the boot sequence will not tell you. There will be a page in the bios with SCSI settings. Somewhere in the SCSI settings there would be something called boot sequence or boot target ID. If you enter the option you would see a list of 7 or more ID numbers.
