Chaz,

For a company looking for immediate entry into the CDMA infrastructure market, a partnership approach would create an excellent win-win situation.

Just my 2 cents.

Qualcomm, will not sell its infra division. They will make strategic alliances, maybe not exclusive.

IMO

Chaz, playing poker with the infrastructure division would be kind of fun: dangle it in front of LU and NT and let the biggest checkbook win. Seems to me that the surest way for the Q to remain independent is to focus its strengths on its money winners and not get diverted by too much extraneous stuff. Much easier to say than to implement, but it seems that the carriers really like to nuzzle up to the big boys when it comes to infrastructure orders. I'd be more than content to see the Q specialize in the electronics magic that goes inside these little miracles, and let the giants sling the big iron around. I hope this wasn't too technical for you. :-) SM
