THREAD MINERS....DAILY SI IDEA FLOW

First of all thanks for everyone's responses to
post #4735. I think we have a sufficient core of
interested full timers to pursue this.

My suspicion is that those of us that spend 9-5
infront of CNBC and SI are all doing pretty much
the same thing..we have 'bookmarked' about half
a dozen 'topic' threads and an equal number of
'individual' posters. I spend/waste most of the
day thread hopping around my bookmark list looking
for the next tradable idea. I spend some amount of time
after market hours discovering several worthwhile posts
that i missed during the day..and so it goes. Over time
i've pared down my bookmark list to the threads and people
that I've felt 'comfortable/profitable with; as I'm sure
others have done..sound familiar ???

It occurred to me that this is a highly inefficient process
and prompted several requests on my part to SI administration
to request a 'prompt' feature to notify the user in real-time
when someone from the bookmark file makes a post. This would be
an incredibly powerful feature as most posts are 'time sensitive'.
Imagine all 'Trader J's' have each other bookmarked..somebody makes
a post and we all know it simultaneously no matter where or what
we are doing on SI. Since this capability does not exist, I was
trying to figure a way to efficiently 'mine' the SI threads for
the 'daily idea flow'.

What I propose is that we do collectively what we all do
individually here on SI. We should consolidate cross/reference
all our bookmark files..both topic threads and people threads
that we frequent. We then assign/volunteer specific people to do
what we all do (ie) monitor and contribute to our favorite
threads..follow our favorite posters etc.. but bring back the
ideas we uncover to our thread..and we do this all in the open..
no PM's..no hype..no front-running..The 'thread miners' should/
will exercise their own 'pre-screening' and communicate back to
the "traderJ" thread the viable ideas..we do a quick and concise
DD per Jeff's post last night and come to a concensus..

This is really meant to organize our SI surfing and reporting
procedures. If we can start the process I think we may find that
our thread becomes a 'clearing house' for the daily SI idea flow
to everyone's benefit. It may be chaotic at first but i suspect
we'll attract like-minded people to us.

If I'm nuts and completely delusional to think this
could possibly work please let me know !!!!

Here's my bookmark file in no particular order..

-Last Shadow's Position Trading
-Market Gems
-Rande IS..home
-TokyoJoe's Cafe/sa/no pennies
-Backdoor an IPO
-e-commerce next 100 months
-roaring i-net stocks

-Rande IS
-TATRADER
-TokyoMex
-Nanda
-Sonki

If the rest of you that expressed an interest in this
from the prior post want to PM or post their bookmarks
Jeff or i will cross reference it all so we get proper
coverage..some of the more active threads will keep
3 or more people busy as you know.
