IMON -

hmmmm... I'm not so positive about the future of this company. I definitely think it's a great inet play and could do well short term, but this thing will more than likely end right back up where it came from.

Search engines are free. Metacrawler does everything I need (although they are *ugly* now that they are trying for the "portal" look) and altavista picks up any slack. 90% of the time I can find what I'm looking for on the first page of results.

True, IMON may be "more" than a simple search engine, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see something similar released for free in the near future. Isn't that what everyone's working on? Creating "smarter" search engines?

I just wanted to let people know that while this is probably a good momo play, but hold your breath on making a ton of money in the long term.

Maybe I'm wrong (nahhhh...), but I just cannot imagine Mr.&Mrs. AOL spending $45 to search the web, when everyone's default home page is a search engine.

llater,
Tony B

Hoffy, excellent analysis on IMON.

It was YOU who first mentioned IMON on this thread, wasn't it?
I went back to dig it out, and looks like you were the first one.

I think the thread members should give a proper recognition to a member who brings a huge success like IMON. (about 300% up in 3days?)

Even though I didn't make a penny out of it, THANK YOU Hoffy!
You did a great job!
