the way I read it, you just gave 5 reasons why the deal was good for AOL\smart for NSCP. Another disgruntled short...so many of you on this thread...

Netscape Preps Metadirectory -- Developer offers links to e-mail, databases techweb.com Netscape, the company that has led the charge in bringing LDAP to the mainstream, will introduce Meta Directory 1.0. Analysts said Netscape could quickly become a dominant supplier of meta directories. Netscape has added 50 million end-user licenses of its Directory Server 3.0 in the past six months, counting American International Group (AIG), Bell Atlantic, Compaq and Lehman Brothers as new customers. "They have a good production LDAP directory offering with a large installed base, but they had not addressed the metadirectory side until now," said Gary Rowe, executive vice president at the Burton Group, a consultancy.

Most 'highly visited' sight: One of the BIGGEST DUPES in history. You simply get that b/c the damn broswer has that set to the default home page to open when the browser is started, and most people don't bother to ever change that. That was BRILLIANT marketing by NSCP to get AOL to pay out the *ss. Pure Genuis. Sponge, You are missing the picture. This may or may not be the cause but it works. It works is what matters. Glenn
