FT, I have tried to avoid discussions with you. I feel you are too opinionated and rigid in your opinions. This is a discussions forum, one is obliged to share views, not bulldoze people to accepting views by trashing them and their beliefs. Your universe leads you to believe certain things, and I'd like to say this as an observation, not being judgemental in any way - I believe you are what we call an extremist. Actually I never thought I would hear myself say this because I thought I was quite firm about my beliefs. But compared to you, I am a very moderate person. Should you choose to discuss, please do so with an open mind. Talking to brick walls is not my speciality. Good day.

But I feel compelled to come to Mirthful Maiden's defense here. I think her basic point is that the extremes of control or uncontrol both suck. Ther IS such a thing as too much freedom, at least in moderately-to-densely populated areas. If freedom were unrestrained, it would be lost very quickly. Warlords and assorted bikers would gangrape freedom so quickly&effectively that people's heads would spin (and a fair proportion of these somewhere beside their so recently attached bodies). The tough part is to have enough governance to keep the predators in check. If all the cops in America disappeared overnight - I imagine things would be nasty. Your and my "imalienable right" to life and property would be worthless - unless you're a HECK of a shot.
