If you use a lower setting for the MP3 file you can compress it as small as the ra file.

If you want CD quality sound from Real Audio your files will be large as well.

50 Meg CD quality song in MP3 is about 3.5 Megs. You can lower the quality (it will still sound great) and you can compress it to 800KB-1MB.
