Markox5, many investors look to earnings, whether or not earnings are a valid benchmark for CMGi's performance. Because that is true, and because CMGi can control earnings to a pretty amazing degree, CMGi management has a excellent lever for managing CMGi's stock price. The question I have is this: what stock management game is CMGi playing? For example, why did they choose to report such large earnings last quarter? Did it represent a new phase in their stock management strategy? Will they choose to report similarly large earnings this quarter? If not, what will be the consequence of their choosing not to? My take: Last quarter represented a new CMGi strategy for managing CMGI's price. This quarter should see a continuation of that strategy. Expect significant earnings growth.
