I have got the database from prophetdata.com but I am having trouble updating it. I have written the search in metastock. I am searching for all time high - $1, above $5, and volume 5 times the 20day moving average of volume. The database goes back to 1968. Any one got any comments on this? I am thinking it may be better to do this with first alert in realtime www.chartist.com and daytrading as the results for a search on 31/12 only found dbcc @17 all the others are lower now.

So who is going to go to the library and dig out The Time article from May/June 1959? I am excused because I live in London. I wonder if people have these for sale on E-Bay? I am also after the fourth Darvas book that someone mentioned on this thread.

>Guess this thread dried up.

Dow Beater,

Yeah, I was beginning to wonder where everyone went too, but it looks like you helped get things rolling again.

I've been watching my 3 Darvas holdings [GAC, IBI and BID]. So far it's been about as exciting as watching paint dry, but that's ok as they are still staying in the "Darvas ballpark" for now.

I have my eye on Techne Corp [ticker TECH] as a possible Darvas buy candidate. It's very close to its high and is up on strong volume. Here's a chart and some poop on the company....

I plan to keep a close watch on it, and might buy some if it continues to act right in the next few days.
