Just to answer a few questions, and give my perception of events.
We have a 1km wide paleochannel, by 5km in length, I may be wrong
on that respect as to the definitive size, seeing Rex site is down, but
paleochannels by themselves can be collection points and be diamond sources with pockets of deposition. The fact this area is rich in diamond indicators both pyropes and G-10s would indicate by the very fact
that diamonds, i.e. commercial grades were found in deflation sampling, that there may be an obvious diamond bearing deposit within the
paleochannels, which Dr. Rhombouts has verified as possible in the last release.
This in itself would present a very low cost extraction should that unfold. Secondly, there is an obvious source to these deposits., and
I think Rex is on track. The obvious width of the paleochannel speaks of the possibly we are dealing with a very large pipe, or field of
pipes. I suspect were dealing with a 6-10 hectare pipe, or a cluster of
smaller pipes. Giving some perspective the hurdle of defining gem quality diamonds has been passed. With the expertise available I would suspect a 6-10 hectare pipe if it were to unfold, revealing any
similiarities to a Jwaening type deposit would not only move the stock
past its previous yearly highs but would supply a floor to trade higher.
As these are very forward looking statements, I reserve the right to
be wrong. If one questions the logistics of Mauritania, one should be
aware that a 12million ton per year Iron Mine (pellitizing) is directly North and is included in the the mining leases of Rex.
We have IMHO seen the last of.90C share prices for the forseeable
future. With Rexs urgency to expand production, coupled with the CEO intent on becoming a world class producer, I think a major discovery is in the offing. 3 distinct areas are as well mentioned that seem to indicate kimberlite as well. As the distance is well separated
between these sites, I suspect we have multiple fields which may contain anywhere from 1 pipe per field to several. The company has
processed 5000 til samples, which indicates a large regional program.
The individual areas would probably require close spaced sampling when Rex decides to do them unless obvious mag signatures are present. Verification and confirmation has been
established by the Moscow Labs where Felix Kaminsky highly regarded in the field hangs his hat as to the commercial size and gem
quality. The combined expertise of Dr. Kaminsky, J.J. Gurney, and Luc Rombouts bodes well going forward
Just my 2 cents worth but I am biased
