I think in time(12 to 18 months) the day traders/on line stock buyers will have a dramatic serious effect on the mickey mouse system called NASDAQ. No where in the world markets has a "Self regulated system" survived. The UK markets tried it and it failed. The huge volume that will come from investors actually buying what they want without getting "schtupped" on the spread , makes the growth of AMEX,NYSE and the on line buying inevitable. EXAMPLE: If you are buying a car , and one dealer says "Hey my mark-up is 10%", and Jones down the street says, "My mark-up is 2%" !!! Whats the question??
