Aside from the additional confirmation that PII won't add much of a performance boost over the PII, even fully utilizing the overhyped SSE, something caught my attention:

Why is Tom under a NDA with Intel? What's the relationship, and has there been money involved? Or did he just sign something in return for a privileged first look/demo?

Pentium III won't be reaching 600 MHz anytime soon. Based on the overclocking performance at firingsquad.com, they had to push the Vcc 22% over spec to get it to run at 600 MHz. That would be like running the K6-2 at 2.69 volts.
