Mr Brain

you started this thread

a lot of long time traders gave honest input in an attempt to share their expensive lessons

but it looks like you already know how easy it is to make a $ mil a year sitting back and hitting computer keys

you are all set at 26 to quit your job to go forth and make your fortune at day trading

best of luck to you

PS
please let us know when you are on a sure thing trade so we can take the other side

Sponge, its great to be able to split the quote and be out in 12 seconds and make bucks. But what about when it goes the other way, or the bid changes, and you're stuck in a position, and you wait for it to come back. Daytrading is probably one of the hardest jobs anyone could have. It takes total concentration, nerves of steel, and no emotion. Daytraders' bragging is like penny stocks, you always hear about the .04s that went to $6, but never hear about the .60s that are .001 now. I respect people who try this. just keep in mind that it is no blind chimp gimme. probably 1 out of 5 or 10 will be sucessful at it, if that many, the rest will be in denial and have lots of tax write-offs. larry
