I have never presented anything (except the SGI rumor) as something I have knowledge of. I present things in a standard rhetorical fashion, which calls for a response. That method is perfectly viable. You have chosen to ASSUME that I know something.
It is true that I have heard that there were talks...but that's it. Who knows what they were about....could be about the weather. But the hint was that there was interest.
On the other hand, I mentioned ORCL once. But not in the sense that I thought anything would happen. I simply asked why Ellison, who sits on the AAPL board, never made any overtures to merge/buy AAPL. Not a bad idea, considering the iMac success and his vision of the NC....he'd kill a few of his favorite birds with one stone.
If you want to be particularly pushy...I can be that way, too. But there is nothing wrong with presenting ideas rhetorically.
