Well, I think my friend was reaching pretty far.

He was looking at the Hebrew symbol for 6 as W also, with the thinking of interpreting Rev. 13: 16-18

ie 666 = WWW (world wide web) in light of buying and selling.

I suppose if we look hard enough you CAN make anything sound like anything else.
