Jules,

I share your frustration. One of the reasons I bought PTEC is because of their add on products like ROM Pilot. Like this announcement, I would like to know if and or how much these products are adding to the bottom line and if not when do they expect them to and what the future looks like. Hopefully, you will be on the conference call and can ask these questions.

How can we intelligently invest in a company that does not release pertinent information?

Compaq announced a USB modem.

Compaq Enhances Commercial Modem Line with USB Technology

biz.yahoo.com

I'm not very impressed with USB microphones and speakers, but modems pique my interest.

Was the USB modem system software developed by the Phoenix PC Platforms group? Was the HDL code residing in the ASIC provided by Sand/VChips? Who wrote the OS driver? I'm interested to know what Compaq thinks of Phoenix engineers, so I'll drop a note to laurent_gharda@phoenix.com.
